employee experience

The Career Services Office (CSO) of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in partnership with Wipro-Splash hosted an online Zoom webinar called Reinventing HR: Designing the Employee Experience on 28 September 2021 specifically for human resource (HR) practitioners everywhere.

This webinar is the second session under CSO’s Click! Program Learning Series. Click! aims to build and foster a strong network and partnerships among local and international human resource practitioners of all industries. The program aims to help practitioners improve their skills, expand their networks, and increase knowledge that adds value as HR professionals.

The webinar featured Maria Chantelle Batac, Senior Vice President for Human Resources and Administration at Splash Corporation, one of the largest personal care products corporations in Asia. Her work has helped Splash Corporation win the PH Management Association People Program of the Year Award in 2018, National Employer of the Year Award 2021, and receive recognition for best HR practices and employer brand in the Philippines and Asia from the Employer Branding Institute in 2019.

Batac draws from over 30 years of extensive experience working in management services and HR and administration with companies Carlos J. Valdez & Co and San Miguel Corporation. She served as Chairman of SMC Corp, where she designed HR systems and policies for training, compensation, and benefits.

“Recruitment is more challenging now, versus many years back… We need to be able to provide positive employee experiences to our employees, so that they will stay and support the organization and be fully engaged in the organization,” said Batac.

Batac covered topics such as the evolution of HR roles over time, developing the employee experience stages, and creating recognition programs by sharing Splash Corporation’s success stories in these areas.

The webinar saw a turnout of attendees hailing from the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates. Attendees included non-HR professionals and C-suite executives. Their industries ranged from education, aerospace and defense, manufacturing, consumer goods and retail, IT and BPO, government, nonprofit, and energy and utilities.

CSO helps graduating students of AIM recognize their strengths and interests, clarify career goals, discover employment opportunities, and expand their network across industries.
